@MishaalRahman I have a 4a, but I still checked for updates in case they accidentally released it for me. 😂

@selzero Look across Europe at their successive healthcare systems and they have a combination of public and private. It's affordable and they never have a "winter crisis" or ever increasing waiting lists.I know it's trendy for "private = bad", but we need to take inspiration from the continent if we ever want to fix our healthcare.

@selzero Well, it's not quite like that. The public and private sector work in tandem, and under those European systems we wouldn't be paying National Insurance (which is just another Income Tax), but instead people would have a choice of providers all at affordable prices.People would have choice over their healthcare and it wouldn't be a crazy free-for-all where no one gets seen like it is now.

@selzero In the case of the Netherlands, if your earnings are below a certain threshold or even if you're homeless, the state pays for your healthcare.

@selzero @bohemianchic The US system is dire, and no one wants that garbage. But mixed systems are very successful and some of the most common in Europe. They have far better health outcomes than the UK and they hardly spend anymore money on their healthcare. How often do you hear of a "winter crisis" affecting France, Germany or the Netherlands? You don't, because over there if you need healthcare, you get healthcare. It's not just about money. Money wouldn't solve the structural problems.

@selzero @bohemianchic There will never be enough money if the current system is unfit for purpose though. If we just keep increasing funding without making structural changes, nothing is going to change. And this doesn't mean full privatisation a la the USA, which people like to scaremonger about. It just means fixing issues with management and waste.I'm happy that Labour are actually acknowledging this, seeing as they're likely to be in power after the next election, maybe they can do it.

@selzero @bohemianchic Which is why mixed systems work so well, rather than fully public or fully private.Neither are optimal.

@vincent I did think it was strange that the PlayStation account was suddenly retweeting a bunch of posts about Israel.I thought the Twitter account must have been hacked.

@MishaalRahman Are there any patch notes for the 4a update? Or is it just going to be for security?
