I feel your pain @Glitches I am very tired too. It's the first weekend after the school term has started in England and I am shattered. But I'm feeling good. I hope you feel better later today.

And there are still people who want this... "Riots on the streets, food price rises and reduced medical supplies are real risks of the UK leaving the EU without a deal, a government document has said.Ministers have published details of their Yellowhammer contingency plan, after MPs voted to force its release. It outlines a series of "reasonable worst case assumptions" for the impact of a no-deal Brexit on 31 October.""Among its other key points are: Protests and counter-protests will take place across the UK Lorries could have to wait more than two days to cross the Channel Some businesses will cease trading There will be a growth in the black market Some providers of adult social care could fail"https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49670123

Also, we are not the people who go around calling people who don't agree with us 'fascists' just because they don't agree with us. And he accuses *us* of lazy thinking? He is, of course, perfectly entitled to deny service to anyone he wants. He might want to have a think about how he is denying service to a social network that is almost entirely made up of women, though. @alex @isolategab @moa_party

OK. I've only seen people say they are 'furry' if they are into dressing up as animals as a fetish. I thought you might possibly be talking about being furry from not shaving. :blobcheeky: @Glitches

I hope you are OK @Glitches If you need time to yourself, take it. There's no need to delete your account. You can leave it here and come back when you are ready. But... I know there are lots of people here who care about you and would probably love to give you some support if they can, so if you are feeling down but are able to stay, please do stay. I'm sure there are lots of people here who would listen to you and be here for you. Take care!

I have submitted responses to government consultations (and others) in my own name and also petitions to parliament (which have my post code on too). I think we can make our voices heard in meaningful ways in our own names in many different ways, even if not on social media. Being anon on social media does not mean everyone doing that is keeping their mouth shut when people talk about these issues in real life, particularly when it counts. I have my own reasons for being anon on social media and will remain so for the time being. If I ever decide to stop being anon on here then I'd probably want to create a new account, because I've written some very personal things on here that I wouldn't want to disclose to the world if they were connected to my real name, just because I'm a very private person. I think there is some value in having a place where women can talk about very private things, without making it feel like our private lives as individuals are posted for all the world to see. For me, Spinster is not just about trans issues, or even just about women's rights activism, even though the latter is what brought me here, it's about women having a place where we can talk about anything without fear of excommunication. @Pricey @Lemondrizzle @Aughra

I am vegan, so I think it's great you have been involved in animal rights activism. If I had a criminal record I would lose my job. Sometimes people can't do things that others do, if they want to carry on doing something that they think is of value. I think teaching is a very worthwhile profession and not worth losing. I serve children every day. As you say, some people can choose to take a risk. Not everyone can. Not everyone can be the same. Honestly, if it becomes a thing on here that women are only welcome, or are only made to feel welcome, if they are here in their own names, then lots of us will end up leaving, or new women won't join and I don't see how that will benefit women. @alex

I think this is one of the best things about Spinster:"Despite the attacks, a sisterhood has developed on Spinster. Users from other platforms where gender critical women congregate — like Reddit, Twitter, Mumsnet, and Tumblr — have joined Spinster. As a result, Spinster has bridged some of the generational divides that prevent older and younger feminists from interacting with each other, helping to spread inter-generational knowledge that is vital to a healthy women’s movement." by @mkI follow women of all ages and they all have interesting things to say. You brighten up my day with your humour or you make me think about things in a different way. Thank you all.https://www.feministcurrent.com/2019/09/12/spinster-is-in-its-infancy-but-already-making-waves-on-the-fediverse/

"IsolateGab calling on Google (one of the most powerful tech companies on the planet) to silence and control women is ironic, since the Fediverse is supposed to be an answer to corporate control of technology. The hypocrisy of the patriarchal anti-capitalist left becomes more and more clear: they don’t want to end social hierarchy, they just want to be the ones on top. The sex-class hierarchy remains even as they claim to start a revolution." by @mk https://www.feministcurrent.com/2019/09/12/spinster-is-in-its-infancy-but-already-making-waves-on-the-fediverse/

I must admit, I did block her briefly. Not because I thought she was a man. This was after the video posting. She had posted something about making everyone on here fancy her, so I blocked her. It just felt really off (especially for a feminist site) and totally out of keeping with the kinds of posts everyone else was making. Soon after that, it was like she was the site victim, getting masses of sympathy and later she was made a mod. I thought I must have made a mistake. I am new to social media. I felt guilty about blocking a potentially vulnerable person, so I tried to make up by following her and interacting with her a bit, when she seemed to be in need of a bit of encouragement or support. The doubts came back when she posted about being 'furry'. I queried it, because I've only ever heard of it in relation to furry fetishists (like the delightful young person in Coventry). Her reply wasn't very reassuring. When she started posting about wanting to leave here, I worried about her mental state, so sent her a reply reminding her that she has a lot of support here. I'm not very surprised that she has turned on us, but I do find it rather disappointing. The signs were there that she has issues and that something wasn't quite right. Like others have said, in future I'm going to trust my gut more. @Thendofthelillies @Funsizescot1975 @MacGueurle @frogsdottir @sHoRtAnDAnGrY @Jennifer_Lee @Jodierad

I follow loads of lesbians on here and they seem to be having a great time. If they are not, I would expect the straight radfems to want to know about it. @Funsizescot1975 @Thendofthelillies @MacGueurle @frogsdottir @sHoRtAnDAnGrY @Jennifer_Lee @Jodierad
