It's also worth mentioning that this has far-reaching consequences around the world.The laws in Canada, for instance, are a lot more draconian in terms of where the line is between fictional illustrations of pretend characters and "child abuse" (which is to say, according to Canadian law, there -isn't- a line between the two!).This sort of corporate overreach is only ever going to be protected by governments all over the world, since they'll be able to exploit it too.

@Aogami -- It works like a cult does.Some manipulative people saw the potential it had for them to exploit others, and then they rebrand that exploitation as "empowerment." People who feel a need to be empowered are then targeted with specific language and tactics, brainwashed with the lowest bar for entry. And then whether that target figures out what's really going on or remains ignorant to how used they are, they perpetuate the cult to either commit to the sunk cost or they believe it.

@EscBoy -- It really doesn't still stand.Regardless of if the person wanted to argue a point, they immediately flag themself as unhinged and nonsensical by bringing insults in to. Any arguments they have are invalidated by their own actions. If their point can't be articulated rationally, then we have no obligation to treat it as a rational argument.It's also a textbook example of the cult-like behaviour I mentioned elsewhere in this thread.

Minor rant, hoping to validate some folks:My favourite artists are the ones who put emotion, energy, and soul in to their works. Even if those artists don't feel that they are technically competent compared to their peers, I'll gladly choose to support someone who creates a window in to their very essence over something that's just skilfully produced.Of course, some artists manage to pull off both, so that's win-win!
