       @futurebird Yes, there is a…tone in the way he says both words.  It gives me a creepy feeling, like he’s trying to flim-flam me.  It’s weird and gross.

       @futurebird Not only has no progress been made, but the IoT is going to be exploited for corporate gain to users’ detriment.  Bricked appliances are in our future: “Sorry, you can’t have toast because you didn’t pay your SmarToast subscription fee this month” is going to be a fact of life, I fear.

       @stux The protest in Philadelphia was utterly peaceful and rather well-attended.  I saw some great signs, at least one anti-fascist flag, and Malcolm Nance.
