I feel the exact same way only i know i was taken advantage of for being so dumb(2xdiagnosed but untreated ADHD spastic that dropped out of highschool after being told “oops you fell between the cracks in the education system” which really means “we failed as educators to help you build a pathway to some form of “success” but its your own fault because reasons kek” ). Like i said i was a PMAB tradwife. I didnt stick up for myself and i ended up a punching bag for men who never loved me they just loved the aesthetic i brought to their lives but i was so doe-eyed i didnt see they werent my prince charming, they werent going to help me build myself up from all the damage by life, they only sought to tear me down further to keep me under their control. But eventually i got to a point when they couldnt control me anymore and they disappeared like ghosts to join whatever Becky they were cheating on me with. I learned something from all of it tho : If theres a power struggle youre not in a relationship, youre in a battle and no one get out of a battle unmaimed..As for parenting youre not considering that there are many types of parents out there. You need to also consider two children being raised completely identically is uncommon. Unfortunately theres a great number of trash parents out there, parents who do resent their children/ dont show love to their children, not being resented by one’s parents may be considered bare minimum to you but thats not the same for everyone. Regardless Teaching a child not to be an asshole becomes one less asshole adult
