I've grown to like TERF because in most online discourse with libfems "Trans" really means MtF/Q, but also because "Trans" can also mean transgender ideology, of which, yes, Radical feminism inherently excludes transgender ideology.SWERF though... "Sex worker" is a term to make prostitution sound like an actual industry lead by women and not the continued grooming and sale of women (and children and a few vulnerable men) for the profit and pleasure of other men, and Radfems consider the well-being of prostituted women in our works and actions more than the pimps and johns who use them. We need something like... Male Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Exclusionary Radfem, but MSAaEER isn't really pronounceable.

@Clariana @Gabble @Melkora @fpcgggc Maybe a dumb question but does the wizarding world even have a strong concept of race?I kinda figured in a society where you can divide people into "muggle" and "could blast your face off with a stick wrapped with animal hair" or "is descended from giants," divisions like white and black are probably less of a big deal.

@UnHerdOf @LaylaAlexandrovna @nosat @samuraikid @seven I'm baffled by stories like this.In the news, they reported a highly contagious respiratory disease with a death rate of around 1-2%. In my personal life, a bunch of friends got sick, some lost or had changes to their smell/taste, and one had a relative die.Most of my friends are vaccinated at this point, too, I think. Side effects were also more or less as reported (worse for women then men because drug manufacturers still tailor everything for men and drag women along for the ride, but I digress). I don't think I know anyone who's been vaccinated and tested positive for covid.The media is pretty much just reporting on what I can witness by going outside and talking to people.

@Hollahollara @Flick Haha yeah it does sort of look like they’re offering the dogs for dinner, as dinner.Seems like a poor marketing choice in any case, I imagine people are more likely to have their appetites stoked by mouthwatering sandwiches than reasonably cute dogs.

If you’re in a job, any job, where you’re physically handling vulnerable people, then you need to be vaccinated for the relevant diseases unless you have a disability that prevents you from doing so.The flu is generally less deadly and less contagious than Covid, and the vaccines are also generally less effective than the ones broadly in use for Covid, so some (definitely not all) hospitals and clinics letting their staff choose to wear PPE during flu season rather than get the vaccine makes some sense. It doesn’t make sense for Covid. If you’re able to take the vaccine but won’t, then don’t work with patients in a hospital.
