@D00B I get a lot of weird looks when I say this, but Rudyard Kipling's "White Man's Burden" seemingly transcends the time period that it was written in. Why? Because there's a huge ass segment of white people alive today that think it's their burden to become martyrs for the fucking niggers of the world.I'm a minority and lemme tell ya this: in any non-Western country, the police are your fucking enemy no matter what because they're the enforcement arm of corrupt governments. @Pepito @Shadowman311 I've found the opposite. There's a lot of autism to be found here, but people are much more open to discussions (in general). Maybe it's because Pleroma has a 5000 character limit, so you don't have to condense complex shit into 280 characters.

@MesaPeaks I've done most of my language learning through old-fashioned rote memorisation with textbooks, flashcards, and the like. Certainly not an efficient method, but you get the idea. I've taken up Portuguese on Duolingo, and it's actually not too bad.
