@Turkleton @veff Michigan's upper peninsula is God's country. Sparsely populated, with people of Northern European descent (Nordic, Finnish, French, Dutch, etc). Hardly any diversity, rough and rugged people. So much wildlife and natural resources.

@TrevorGoodchild A teaspoon or two of raw honey will make you dream your balls off. I also stopped smoking weed in early August, that brought back dreaming in a big way. Don't remember any dreams from past 5 years, since i was a daily smoker. Now they happen maybe once a week. Sometimes there seems to be a message for me in the dreams, like showing me how I'm getting in my own way in certain situations. Cool story, first dream i had after quitting pot, I got to see my Dad who passed away in 2010. Just for a moment though, he showed me the exit to a trap i was caught in. The surprise and joy of seeing his face made me cry out, which woke me up. Dreams are definitely an interesting topic.

You just have to swipe a lot and match a lot and filter a lot of girls out and if you set up a date, you're basically in great position to take it all the way. girls these days Seem to expect sex after the first or second date. That turned out to be a snare for me, though, since just because you slept with a girl doesn't mean it's gonna keep her around. The girls are looking to hook up just as much as the guys and seem to have a very laissez-faire attitude about it. So during that time I was able to date a lot and get laid a lot but I was miserable because of the dopamine rush then crash of the constant swiping and then the expectation of something special with a human that always turned into nothing...then rinse and repeat. What actually turned out working best for me at that time was that I quit drinking and joined AA and started going to church. I met my wife at an AA meeting we both liked and we were able to just observe each other at meetings that we both went to for about a year before we even really talked and hung out. So I knew all about her hang-ups and pitfalls and she of mine before we went on a single date. A lot of the filtering was done for us As we listen to each other, share our past and our hopes and dreams at recovery meetings. We've been together 6 years and married 2.Tldr:Focus on doing things that you enjoy and that improve yourself and you will naturally run into women that will be into those things too. And you will have a much better chance of a positive long term connection because of proximity and shared ideals.

@BattleDwarfGimli @Diogenese_Shiplap I saw a concert there in 2019 before covid. Can't remember the band but I remember it was a great trip. I was in love and my girlfriend (now wife) was so beautiful and I was proud to have her on my arm. Went to some Greek place for dinner, it was ok.
