@Irishblackpilled My alternative idea to what is being claimed in this post is not so much that Google ever had millions or billions of results found, but rather they are just bullshitting the numbers at the top until you go to the last page. You are not going to get billions of results available to you in less than a second, but most people do not realize that. Google is just cropping off the top of the "best answers" that they have chosen for you. They are probably omitting a lot of pages that are inconvenient to any narrative they want to push on you, so they are probably engaging in censorship.In short, the billions of results are never really there for you, they just want to make it seem like there is SO MUCH OUT THERE!

@DrBtc Cars are SUPPOSED to stop at crosswalks in the US as well. Many drivers just don't, and the laws that state drivers are required to stop for pedestrians at crosswalks are not respected nor enforced to any real extent.This sucks for pedestrians, but it does teach one important lesson: just because something SHOULD happen does not mean you should operate as if it always will. Some people get complacent with how they live their lives and wonder why they have a bad outcome just because they just expected things to happen as they "should."When it comes to pedestrians and cars, this means that you as the pedestrian should always be looking out for your own well being in spite of the fact that "cars should stop at crosswalks for pedestrians." If you just assume they will always stop for you, you can get outraged all you want from a hospital bed. I would prefer to be slightly upset that I had to wait longer to cross the road due to drivers not stopping than suffer injury because I chose to assume that my right of way would be recognized.
