       @luke It's rare to talk about Soros here where I live so the concept of "Open Society" is new to me. Despite obviously being somewhat familiar when it comes to the modern left-wing in europe. Describing his ideas or just pointing to Soros'es book in an environment where talking about Soros is almost a conspiracy seems like a useful banality in a sense. Well, at least for me.

       @luke Hey Luke ! Great video ! I completely agree that almost every generic impulse can be resisted by our will. I also agree that too many people make mental illnesses an excuse for their bad behavior. Actual mental problems stem from things far more complicated and long lasting than simple temptation and although those problems do exist, the actual cure is often to lead an upstanding life. Straightening your paths makes you free. The particular specific conundrums of what "leading an upstanding life" actually means being up to debate. Bu the general direction is not.
