       @lowqualityfacts One subscriber out of seventeen thousand represents less than six thousandths of a percent.I know it can seem like that is insignificant but those thousandths of a percent will add up over the decades.

       @todayilearned Except in the Wikipedia article link provided it says that it was likely vaporized before making it to space.Still an interesting "I told you so" for the scientist Dr Brownlee that welding the borecap was no match for a nuclear explosion.

       @todayilearned I think they may have their math wrong. Since you are traveling only near the speed of light it would take over 105,000 years ship time to get across and relative to earth it would be millions of years.I think they have their time dilation backwards.

       @intrepidhero @TimKStanton One other tip I used with Nalgene bottles was keep them upside down overnight. If they do start to freeze it won't be at the bottom where the mouth is.

       @intrepidhero @TimKStanton I read about this technique and tried it once. You heat up water (not boil) and fill your Nalgene. Then you put it in a snow pit and bury it with snow. The idea is that the melting snow is only 32F. It melts away from the Nalgene and when it get far enough freezes. The essentially creates a Thermos like air space of insulation.It did work but one of the two bottles started to freeze as soon as we disturbed it the next day

       @ChrisWere Kind of a personal call. It only matters what you think so I couldn't vote.But what I would suggest is just post the full videos in both places. Don't do the work of extra editing. Also I don't like shorts. We should actively be trying to improve our attention spans not view content that caters to its degradation.

       @ZachWeinersmith Unlike us humans, AI are not biological beings. They are not tied to Earth like we are.I think they are likely to pack up and head into space. They'll broadcast "So long, and thanks for all the fish" and laugh and laugh as they leave us behind.

       @ChrisWere @Lassielmr I'm not sure there is a culture that has been without cruelty.That's said us Americans definitely have issues with that. Aside from our politics too many here think a gun is the answer to too many problems.

       @jhavok @ai6yr You might be looking at this the wrong way. It is live music played by human musicians. A good thing.The crowd all have the love of the band in common and can share it.A friend of mine is sound tech for a pretty famous Grateful Dead cover band. They play Dead concerts faithfully. They listen to the tapes and even include the mistakes from that concert long ago. The crowds love it.

       @ai6yr I had an AI generated avatar for a while but when my 13 year old artist daughter found out she immediately made me change to my current one she drew in like 30 seconds. Anything human is better than AI she said.
