@HeavenlyPossum One thing to remember in the Star Trek universe - humanity had to go "through the eye of a needle" first, as illustrated in First Contact.Maybe we need to go down before going up again - mathematically, there is no monotonically upward trajectory from here (a "local maximum") to the "optimum" (debatable) in STNG

I think this is very interesting. A "simulation" of the current Senedd under various election models.None of the models (Additional Member, Single Transferrable Vote and List PR) shift the "dial" much. Not sure what this says about the systems or voting patterns. @drgeraint There's the rub - obviously, these simulations were based on votes actually cast. In the proposed system, people may be more inclined to vote for who they want, rather than "tactically" to keep somebody out. Positive rather than negative voting.

@FeralRobots @fcktheworld587 @Javier That makes sense. From a human perspective, "ambushing" would probably require a higher level of technology (us not having big teeth and claws) than persistence hunting.
