@DanielEsq @sethcotlar I think its almost impossible for Mastodon to have those problems ,on servers admins would remove the account and if it was a server with a lot of issues that admins were not dealing with then the other servers would block the entire server /instance ,like they did with Trumps attempt a few years back .

#WindowFriday #FensterFriday #FensterFreitag The shutters were closed but as its still a window I thought I would share ,I loved the amazing blue colour against the muted grey and the assorted greens in the window box .This was taken in #Agde in #France

@dave I personally feel it is and I think future generations will see it the same way that we view chicken battery farming .

Friends who work in a hotel and have very little direct contact with guests caught Covid ,apparently one guest spent most of their time coughing .So I guess they spread covid bugs far and wide around the hotel.I know nobody on Mastodon would deliberately go on holiday with Covid. But I thought I would post a suggestion that people do a #Covid test before they set off on #Holiday .No doubt the guest spread Covid to other guests who would take it home with them or to their next location

#Wildcamping #Holidays #Scotland #camping The first of the seasons "wild campers" on the footpath to the river around a hundred yards from the road, theres nowhere locally to use a toilet or wash or dispose of waste water except the river ,they decided it was fine because there wasnt a no camping sign .I asked them to go to the and free, lovely site at Shin falls, but they said they couldnt drive because they had been drinking, they had collected wood and are now having as fire in their fire pit

and to be clear,it isnt legal to use a vehicle to "wild camp" in Scotland and wild camping isnt wild camping if your near to houses and a road

@shacker Overall I agree ,But there also needs to be a balance between tolerance of something that only detrimentally affects a minority of people if the impact of toleration is detrimental to everyone else .Eg some folk like to drink and sing loudly in public places ,walk around naked ,let dogs run around uncontrolled etc ,its not being intolerant to expect them to do things like that only in designated places

@grammargirl Thats much better than the smily face ,angry face signs.Though personally I think schools ought to have speed bumps on all the streets approaching them thats about the only thing that really works at slowing people down

@benjaminhollon .Sadly not for most things ,a lot of stuff isnt built to last more than a few years so even a tiny repair isnt possible ,because the skills needed to repair them arent widespread or the cost of repairs would pre prohibitive ,sometimes there arent spare parts manufactured anyway ,or in some cases with modern techology items because they will become hard to update etc.But I agree if its something like a cooker or mattress or something similar

@mansr @kdawson It isnt, but its very hard if you live a normal life.until 2022 I lived 7 miles from a village and post was dropped half a mile away. Here is also a remote area but a tiny hamlet both my neighbours have had it and one is retired so doesn't often go out but so far I havent,I rarely go anywhere public ,always mask up in stores and I dont have visitors inside. But I am extra careful as I in an high risk group but not fully vaccinated( I had a v severe reaction to the first jab

@Haijo7 @sinabhfuil for people and wildlife ,probably increase the numbers of red list species ,since tourist season started here I see more and more road kill, the death toll last week was 2 red squirrels (plus a lamb and neighbours chicken) Over a year many otters ,squirrels ,badgers and smaller animals like frogs and butterflies end up dead .Plus lichens are dying out at road edges.Peoples health in many places has suffered from noise pollution and air pollution as we werent used to traffic.
