I just got divorced and walked away from everything. I didn’t fight over money or property or custody because it was just too gut wrenching awful. I put my life in the hands of a greater purpose. It’s scary as hell starting over with nothing. It’s also a new beginning. So far it’s been hard and lonely and maybe it always will be. But I make the best of what remains and live in gratitude for all I have. It’s my way of saying fuck you to the forces that tried to destroy me.

@calculsoberic Yes but I’m slowly learning. If I stick around here long enough I’m sure I’ll learn. But since I’ve gotten reported more in one week than years on Twitter I’m thinking I’m too much of an agent provocateur and people on this site might be too you know “progressive” to be open to independent or opposing thoughts. My statement of what mastodon feels like to me? A black site. With no private messaging, a weird layout with very little search capability and no analytics I have the distinct feeling I’m in a black box. There’s no sight line. Meaning I can’t understand what this sites purpose is? Are people really interested in re”tooting” pictures of peoples cats every Saturday to 33 followers who don’t like your content? This place will never replace twitter there is something off about this space.

I am one of Spotifys top listeners logging more than 200k minutes in 2022 listening to music. That’s over 3,000 hours. For 1/3 of the year I was listening to music. Spotify called my musical taste Pumpkin Spice Goth Empowerment. I thought that was perfect I love pop with an edge and epic ballads.
