Ha, brilliant. I’d feel bad for him if he were actually still a child, but Harry has a beard now. The man’s got no excuse. @TatsuyaIshida

This is why I can’t stand when accusations of “transphobia” get thrown at women who are afraid of men like him. It’s an entirely rational fear of a legitimate threat. @AnneBevan

The first time I was openly called out for my name tag playing among us. I just had enough time to recommend reading J.K. Rowling’s compassionate essay before I got banned from the group.

I just wish more people could pull this issue into the light of public debate. We don’t have enough people going out there, making noise and being seen. That’s what we need to make change. If there were more public voices, there would be more choice than between him and mr. Spurling. this issue isn’t nearly as mainstream as it needs to be. The best way to oppose what he says is to get out there and say it better. @meghanmurphy

I’m aware of all the online debating, I’ve been following it as closely as I can. The last big thing that happened in Toronto was your fantastic talk at the library last year. Toronto’s been quiet ever since. It’s true, the lockdown doesn’t help, and the online stuff is all great, but it’s the public stuff that really grabs attention and enables people to hear opinions they otherwise wouldn’t search for. I’m not saying “women aren’t talking about it at all” I listen to women talk about it every day. @meghanmurphy

Absolutely. I’ve been putting the hard questions to Annamie Paul for her to win my vote. The first response wasn’t great, but I’m insisting on solid answers and asked her to commit to working with Canadian women’s groups like cawsbar and the women’s human rights campaign. I’m not expecting much, but at least they’re hearing about it. @meghanmurphy

Wow. I knew the lies about J.K. Rowling were out of hand but, this is something else. Who started this unusual string of falsehoods?

I just find it so strange. I want to know why he thinks the main character threatened to punish anyone with rape. Where did that come from? If that were in the book, it would’ve been quoted everywhere. I don’t know how anyone can be so comfortable stating something as fact without even the slightest desire to prove it to himself first. @Graziella

What a prick. I can’t imagine being so out of touch and entitled. I also didn’t realize my older sister was supposed to teach me how to use makeup. She doesn’t wear any at all. I’ll have to tell her she was a bad sister. @AnneBevan

I remember sitting down for a good twenty minutes looking up the words and trying to decipher the meaning of that ridiculous piece of writing. I still couldn’t quite get it. A good laugh that was. @AnneBevan

That’s him? Yikes. It can only be good for these guys to see these pictures of themselves. Even if it hurts, it’s so important to reconnect with reality. It’s the only way they’ll really be able to find peace and acceptance within themselves.I don’t understand how people can lie to themselves so completely. @Glinner

Looks like someone wanted to say hi to me. Hi foot, if you come back to read this, I’m going to give you a real response here. My advice is, don’t get hung up on bad photos. Own them. The only reason anyone’s bothered by them is if you desperately care what other people think of you. If I’m a little cross eyed in a photo, I laugh. It’s not the end of the world and my self worth doesn’t hinge on it. Do yourself a favour, shrug it off and move on. That’s my advice. We’ve got to work past this self obsession that makes us so overwhelmingly self conscious. Laugh your insecurities away. Stop caring about whether or not the whole world finds you attractive. I’ve got a very noticeable flaw on my face. Does that stop me from smiling at myself in the mirror? No, not anymore. I decide to not let it bother me. The simple fix for self hatred is simply to decide not to hate yourself. That’s it. You have to face yourself in the mirror and say what you need to say “I forgive you” “I love you.” Even if you don’t think you deserve it, you’ve got to say it. Eventually you’ll mean it. You deserve to mean it.P.S. the solitary like is from Joss. No need to pay foot any mind, onlookers. Just keeping you in the loop on the discussion. @Glinner

How great is that suffragette board game at the end? We need to make a board game called peak trans or something. @AnneBevan
