Curious if other #horrormovies fans troll the Dollar Tree stores as actively as I do? Selection is hit or miss but with #Letterboxd help I’ve pulled some surprisingly great stuff from them (including blu-ray) all for dollar and change. I was trapped in suburbs during lockdown and there were like a dozen Dollar Trees within 15 min drive. I have a Dollar Tree buddy in a diff region and we trade by mail. @ElizabethLeeCo there’s a few labels that seem to turn up there a lot (Magnet is one of them). Not every store gets the same selection. Usually you will see a dvd title and then in a different store (or a few months later) the blu-ray. Looking forward to hitting a few over the holiday. We have a cpl in NYC but they are such a nightmare to shop in I don’t bother.

@ElizabethLeeCo before Mastadon it was my only remaining social media platform. It takes some work to make it useful but you can import all your want to watch lists and it tells you what’s on what platform. Once you find like minded reviewers to follow, it’s like the most powerful film recommendation engine ever. Also great for making lists and settling what title to watch on group movie nights (you can compare watch lists with other users and see what you have in common)

@ElizabethLeeCo understood. I like it bec it gives me freedom to jump between platforms and not lose my ratings and watch list but yeah whatever works.
