Why do I not like to talk to anyone over the phone unless it’s a family member, close friend or someone I am in a relationship with? If it’s an acquaintance or a potential date, I somehow just feel like it’s a complete waste of time.

Although I was initially sad about not being able to make it home for Christmas or NYE, I made peace with that. I thought at least, I was finally going to get some time to read while the courts were closed, but I’ve been working every single day of the court vacation, and it doesn’t even really feel like a vacation, except for the fact that I don’t have to appear before the courts till the court reopens.

I always have this habit of hopping to multiple parties on NYE, but being at home with Mom when the clock strikes twelve. This year, however, I have not been able to be home, and my Mom would home all alone, and it makes me really sad. It's good that we have technology, and we can virtually be together when the clock strikes twelve, though.

The idea is to not set an unrealistic reading goal this year, and actually read as many books as I can, without focusing on counting the number of books.

This year, I do not want to be affected by the comments that privileged and entitled people make about my life and life choices. This year, I do not want to be swayed by the lives of people around me and want to constantly stick to goals I have for myself, irrespective of how big or small they're in comparison to that of the people around me.This year, I want to live at my own pace.

I slept all day today, but while I should be happy about it, especially after being sleep deprived for almost two weeks in a row, here I am, cribbing about it, because I feel like I didn’t utilise this one Sunday that I, sometimes, get to do things that I like apart from sleeping - like reading or watching something nice or going out to a park.

My sinusitis has been recurring quite often of late, and my doctor always prescribes strong dosage of antibiotics for the same. While it relieves me, these antibiotics also put my body through a lot - is there any home remedy that works for sinusitis apart from steam?
