@stux Glad you liked it 🙏I'm not leaving the other social media site at present, but I'll be here, too. And I think it might help to give Twitter users hints now and then about the differences between Mastodon and their place.

In #Thailand, a new #NasalSpray has been developed, called Vaill #Covitrap, which contains human IgG1 #antibodies against SARS-CoV-2.Here is a preprint about it:https://doi.org/10.1101/2022.10.04.22280574It has been available since October https://tna.mcot.net/english-news-1030853but I've heard it was quickly sold out.Let's wait and see whether it will become available in other countries.#Covid

Interesting peer-reviewed paper:Cecon, E., Fernandois, D., Renault, N. et al. #Melatonin drugs inhibit SARS-CoV-2 entry into the #brain and virus-induced damage of cerebral small vessels. Cell. Mol. Life Sci. 79, 361 (2022). https://doi.org/10.1007/s00018-022-04390-3Shows that melatonin protects the brain of mice from the virus. This looks as if it might turn into a really helpful therapy.#Covid

It's mild, folks!#Article (5 January 2023) based on recent paper in the Journal of the American Medical Association:"Long COVID stemmed from mild cases of COVID-19 in most people, according to a new multicountry study""We found that a staggering 90% of people living with long COVID initially experienced only mild illness with COVID-19."https://theconversation.com/long-covid-stemmed-from-mild-cases-of-covid-19-in-most-people-according-to-a-new-multicountry-study-195707#Covid #LongCovid #mild

Interesting paper in the Journal of Medical Virology, 5 January 2023:Infection by SARS-CoV-2 with alternate frequencies of mRNA #vaccine #boostingJeffrey P. Townsend, Hayley B. Hassler, Alex Dornburghttps://doi.org/10.1002/jmv.28461It seems one needs an updated mRNA booster jab every 6 months to be fairly well protected from #Covid infection.Really hoping we'll get second generation vaccines soon!

@FDM Oh, gute Besserung!
