@Fatidicus @Yurt_Dweller I made a post back in March where I basically came to the same conclusions. Russia had to be dealt with because, for all of Putin's flaws, he puts Russian interests first, and the Judeo-Financial complex second. The goal of Ukraine is disrupt Russia or force them back in the postwar international system. Mearsheimer's problem is that his “realism” is too rational. The complex of international financial and tribal interests trump any country's national interests. The obvious solution back in 2014 was to divide Ukraine in half, putting the Eastern half in NATO and the Western half in the Russian sphere. This would have been in everyone rational interests and saved countless lives, money, trauma, property, etc. He also doesn't take into account that the current elite will do literally anything to maintain their power while also being spiteful, petty, and at least a standard deviation stupidier than the leaders of Cold War generation. NATO had been baiting Putin in Ukraine some time and I genuinely think he caught everyone off guard with the invasion. They wanted to make Ukraine a “Vietnam” or really 1980s Afghanistan under the assumption that the Putin regime will face a quagmire and crumble like the Soviet Union. Now they have their wish, but the conditions couldn't be more different. Anyone acting like it's the same or even that we're in the same position as the Cold War 40 years ago is delusional. Whatever happens, they will drag the war out for as long as possible to weaken Russia. Even if something of a peace treaty is signed, I suspect there will be near constant US backed insurgencies and general harassment in the new territories for decades to come.I agree that the other goal of the Ukraine gambit serves to retain American hegemony in Europe. A Russo-Sino axis is already a geopolitical threat, so a Europa-Russo-Sino Axis would be a endgame for the current world order. As a declining empire, the US is in a precarious position in the next few decades, so tightening NATO alliances ensures that rearmed France and Germany, and the eventual EU army will be placed firmly under Uncle CSAM's greasy thumb. It also forces Europe away from Russia and towards US aligned interests and markets. An independent Europe, especially a block of nationalistic European powers, even on it's own would be an actual geopolitical threat the US and its occupying elite. Furthermore, the “rogue” EU states in Eastern European like Poland and Hungary are pulled closer to Brussels, while petty nationalist divide and conquer can be stoked at will to keep them in line.

Our situation is different because the barbarians are already in the gates, and they have been looting for decades. Mexicans and central Americans make for shitty soldiers who couldn't give a crap about “America.” Blacks even more so, especially considering that modern military's are heavily tech reliant. Germans are cucked beyond belief since WWII, along with most of Europe, and ditto with the Japanese. There is some semblance of martial spirit in Eastern Europe, but they don't care unless they are point their guns at Russians or at each other. The Chinese are a no go, and Russians are viewed as a hostile enemy force. And good luck getting Arabs to fight for the Great Satan.So, who are they gonna recruit? Fucking Mongolians? French Foreign Legion? Just literally put Americans flags on all NATO troops? The closest thing possible to what they is is some some of mercenary NGO, lead by Israelis. In reality, they will probably just recruit foreigners to fill in various gaps in tech, IT, security, etc... With the predictable result of even more mass corruption and incompetence, leading to more deaths of Americans and more blatant war crimes. But, I can't help but think the real goal here is getting to the point where they can just directly place Israelis into the US military, without bothering with the pretense of “dual citizenship.”

That's why you see the new ads trying to gets White men back. US citizenship can be gained without the hassle of military service. Hell, you don't even need citizenship to get welfare, a driver's license, or even vote in some places. There is more incentive just to come here legally and overstay your visa or just enter illegally than there is to join the military. There is also more incentive for the US to just gayop locals into the fighting each other in the Middle East like they've done since the 50s, since they won't have any direct responsibility for their actions. Foreigners, especially Israelis, and “Eastern Europeans” with suspicious last names, may be used in limited places within the US military proper, but foreigners will likely ever be substantial force in the US, at least not any time soon. That is, unless you include the various immigrants from 1965 onward and their descendants who are already US citizens, then you might be right. But remember, Rome took a long time to fall, and the US hasn't even reached it's crisis of the Third Century.

@SuperSnekFriend @DW2 I'm wondering what stats are being floated around that sparked the Twitter thread, since homicides of many cities are at or above the all time record highs in the early 90s. Portland broke a murder record in 2022. I'm pretty sure Baltimore broke their record in 2022 (the exact historical stats were hard to find). St. Louis broke a record in 2020 with a ludicrous 87.2 homicides per 100K. Detroit is becoming on pair with their rates in the early 90s. Basically every city with a large Black population is experiencing or closing in on record violence. The homicide rate generally tracks with other violent crimes, and is probably the best single overall indicator for disorder. Despite all of their problems, American cities still have functioning coroner offices, so homicides still do get reported as “homicides.” While it's true there have been cases where police chiefs and mayors have had the figured fudged, and moved a few bodies into a category other than “homicide”, but it was only a smaller number and done for the purpose of Federal gibs.But like the Twitter thread mentioned, this STILL understates the overall break down of order, property crimes, petty theft, open air drug markets, roaming homeless, the refusal of cops to make arrests, the refusals of DA's to prosecute, the court system incentivizing lawlessness, etc... And as for the murder rate, it does not take into account factors like advances in medicine that have turned previously fatal gun shot wounds into treatable wounds.

Later, Bibulus tried to block Caesar's appointments by declaring that no public business could be conducted whilst he observed the sky for omens.It worth nothing that Bibulus was the ultimate cuck politician whose every scheme was foiled in the most embarrassing way. When trying to denounce one of Caesar's bills, a crowd pushed him on the ground and threw shit all over him. When he was about to give his farewell address as Consul, the Senate vetoed him to stop him from speaking.The system still has a lot of inertia and we're not quite at Bibulus level buffoonery yet, but we are getting close to the day when Congress can't meet because they're observing the sky for omens.

Word was he was pretty open about all of it (he is an actual drunk redneck IRL, which is based). I remember listening to an interview with Doug Stanhope where he was praising White for being shamelessly open about being given manufactured material unlike other corporate comedians who try to pass everything off as their own content.

The smoke alarm chirp isn't really that high pitched. It's only like 3100 Hz, which is dead in the upper mid-range for human hearing. The average person can hear up to 12000 Hz into middle age, and even elderly rockstars with damaged ears can still hear around 4000-6000 Hz. It has to be some sort of attention/processing issue that makes them unable to register the smoke alarm chirp.
