@eriner I would like to learn more about this. Care to elaborate? The hash tag offers no insight. Does this mean that you are hosting at home (residential)? Is Cloudflare the secret to making this work (sad face)? What ISP have you? I've seen HomeLab videos on YT, but they always focus on hardware. I don't really expect much info, but I feel grossly uninformed, and you did bring it up.

@eriner Thanks. We've got a new fiber provider coming into our semi-rural area. I would love to move my assets that serve local users into my own local office, but I am skeptical of its efficacy.

@eriner Locals are being offered gigabit fiber, but I am skeptical. CO (in a 1 YR leased location) is right next to a radio tower, and company is brand new.2.5g symmetric, what's that? I guess we're a fully rural community, cause terms like that sound like crazy talk.

@graf I ended up with a prepaid year server on a E3-1240 server with ColoCrossing, with a 512 GB single SSD drive. ColoCrossing and others ultimately offered better "black friday" deals, including drive bundles. I now believe that E3-1240 servers are a complete commodity, so most should shop around.
