Got very sad news about an hour ago, of the death of a longtime friend. His widow was my honor attendant. They just returned from vacation last week; this morning he suffered a heart attack.Farewell, Lance, you gentle giant.

Our county is under an Excessive Heat Watch as of Tuesday, continuing through Wednesday night. Heat indices of 110F (43C) are possible. Now until 8 pm we're under a Heat Advisory, with heat indices of 105F.So, we get a little break tomorrow, apparently. But this is all normal, isn't it. At the pharmacy this morning, there was one woman in the seating area. Unmasked. I can't speak highly enough of Replacements Ltd. Https://Replacements.comThey've helped me replace broken pieces and augment my table setting of my Noritake stoneware, which I bought for myself as a "thank gods I'm divorced" present in 1991. The pattern has long been discontinued, but I've gotten another 5-piece place setting, another luncheon/dessert plate, 5 dessert bowls, and a hostess set (sugar/creamer, chop plate, serving bowl).I drew the line at the $250 platter, though. #Limits
