@guusdk @jcbrand @claudeThe #Activity gateway is a server component that can work with any #XMPP server or client, not only #Libervia .About the status, it's working. I have 2 more things to do before the release:- HTTP signature for GET requests (it's only done for POST requests right now), which will make it compatible with secure mode of other implementations.- Use per-user encryption keys. For now it's one for the whole instance.Both things are easy to do, I just need some time.

My current AV grant is consuming all my time, making it challenging to progress on other topics.Feel free to work on microblogging XEPs: as long as they're compatible with #Movim and #Libervia - it will with the gateway, at least for body. Reactions and likes require XEP-0470, not yet implemented in Movim.AP DMs are converted to #XMPP chat messages, so they should work with Converse and other clients out of the box.

@zsoltsandor @Mastodon @movim FYI I've built an #XMPP <=> #ActivityPub gateway thanks to a #NLnet grant: https://nlnet.nl/project/Libervia/ . It's compatible with #Movim.It's mostly done but still in dev version because I'm overwhelmed with work. It should be released hopefully in coming weeks.

Hi there. I'm self hosting my SMTP server for years, and I have 10/10 on https://www.mail-tester.com/Recently, I've got 2 messages rejected by Apple server (on "@me.com" addresses), and today I've got a SPAM abuse signalement (probably automatic) for those 2 emails! @debacle @farooqkz @treefit we have already shared TODO list based on Pubsub in XMPP, it's implemented in Libervia. Using a JS blob instead is a huge regression, the point of having standards is to avoid this. That said, webxdc is neat and I plan to implement it. @marud @codimp Matrix a très longtemps utilisé Jitsi pour les appels de groupe qui utilise… XMPP. Illes ont maintenant leur propre solution il me semble, mais ça n'est pas très vieux. Donc oui les appels de groupe sont possibles avec XMPP. Niveau clients actuels il y en quelques un qui supportent les appels en petits groupes (MESH) et peu c'est vrai qui supportent les appels en plus grand nombre (SFU). Pour info je travaille sur un client qui implémente les 2 (mais pas prêt pour la production).

I've just published a protoXEP to expose a lot of information on data policy, as part of my current @nlnet grant. The plan is to have services (XMPP server, gateways, etc) expose to clients how long they keep data, if they encrypt, how they handle authentication, who can access data, what is backup frequency, where data are located, etc.This is very precious information when you use a service.I now want to expose in a easy way this to end-users.#XMPP #Libervia #NLnet #data #privacy

What about polls with hidden votes? Poll when we can see result only after it's finished?Anyway, we should probably first start by set the requirements before proposing a solution, we clearly have different views on the subject.

@nicoco @arcanechat @debacle I'm actually building an email <=> XMPP gateway. Delta Chat is a nice side effect, but not the main goal. We can even say "have built" as the project is done, but there are still improvements to do.
