@AgentCarter_SSR @TonyStark Take it from one of the speed bumps (unarmed) my school district hires to deter these incidents. Reduced the amount and restrict the type of weapons available to the public. Yes I check for unlatched doors, they happen. What the intruder is carrying will determine how bad a day it will be. The door and mental health talking points are a distraction.☕️🤨

@AgentCarter_SSR @emkris @TonyStark Between COVID and these terrible events many teachers and staff are leaving our school or the field altogether. Very understandable. Wish I could upload the recording of our student orchestra playing The Avengers (yes really) theme at our graduation. Things like that give me strength as does interactions with this group and others I am lucky to belong to. It’s an individual choice but you all set high standards. I’ll be back to protect my students in the fall and vote this November. Like Rogers says, “whatever it takes.”

The idea is to reduce the chances anyone in America has to make that choice.Never been in the middle of a gunfight but, those I’ve spoken to who have, like my father, mentioned that your accuracy goes down when the paper target is also using live rounds.And I’ve always said gunfight inside your facility, is a bad Plan B.☕️🤨

@AgentCarter_SSR Correct ma’am. Arming teachers is a distraction from gun law reforms. What is malevolent, is the idea that teachers or staff who are committed to the educational experience of even troubled students, can flip mentally to shoot one down as necessary. I’ve told my team that if District allows staff to carry firearms, I won’t but will get a kevlar vest to wear every day. I believe it would be that dangerous.

@MariaHill ☕️😡 Unforgivable inaction by responding Police. When I return to my school, I will be asking my School Resource Officer if other members of his department would give their all in response to a school shooter on campus? Who would they consider expendable?This will vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Having worked with Police my entire career, I am willing to be harder on them then the average person. They all should be challenged with this question at budget and other public meetings. Be prepared for a shocked and affronted response. Citizens still deserve to know and police agencies put on notice.

@MariaHill IMHO Agent Hill, given that to about half the Founding Fathers, “security of a free state” was understood as stopping a slave rebellion and they all knew indigenous people needed to be suppressed, the 2nd amendment always had sinister implications. Possession of current military grade weapons makes sense to a political minority, ready to impose their tyranny of ideas on ALL modern Americans. Just what’s at stake for the rest of us stopping them with our votes as I see it.☕️🤨
