@fitheach Was chatting to a bloke with a plate camera, he'd been at the same spot for a couple of hours at least. He only had eight plates, so was taking his time!

@fitheach Probably lol. Met another guy near the same spot with an 8" X 10" plate camera. He was scanning the plates at high resolution and thought the results worth the effort.

No idea if this stuff works, got it from Germany, it's pretty expensive, but will give it a go. It's slug and snail repellent, will paint it round the bottom of raised beds and pots and see what happens. Slugs are a real big problem round here, I can collect 100 a night easy, the limiting factors being my back giving grief from bending down, and just getting fed up looking.

There's been a buzzard knocking about here for a while now, see it almost daily. Finally it landed close enough and stayed there for long enough for me to go get a camera and suitable lens, and shoot off a quick photie through the kitchen window before it left.
