@Ste1lar The reason I use this CW is so people can decide if they want to see the toot(s) or not. Can't say I blame you for muting.

@cdmnky I have cable but I watch literally nothing. I'm too much of a fucking weeb to turn it on lol.And yeah, the radio is probably safer, insofar as you avoid the AM dial. But that's easy enough.

@cdmnky It's still early. At this point I'm only really excited about Florida because their vote count is at/above 50% done by now. It's looking good for the Dems there. We'll know if the Dems can take the House or the Senate in three hours at most.

@cdmnky "Resigned"It was a de facto firing that allowed both Trump and Sessions to save face. The end game is probably getting rid of Mueller, or at least curtailing his investigation.

https://splinternews.com/at-least-12-killed-in-mass-shooting-at-southern-califor-1830303726Love living in a country where logging on and hearing about another mass shooting is perfectly normal. The solution is pretty obvious: Take away the guns! Instead, we'll be treated to another round of "thoughts and prayers" to a deity that doesn't fucking exist, all because the ruling party has been bought off by an organization that's run by gun manufacturers.

@ilovecomputers It's beyond fucked up that FB has to have that function. Certainly a relief to people affected by these events, but fucked up.That said, good to hear your friend is safe.

@ilovecomputers That entire story is infuriating. These kids are old enough to know what that symbol means. The parents *certainly* are and should have called them on it.The school's principal/higher-ups should be replaced because it's clear they've created a bigoted culture. But, yes, this (amongst other reasons) is why we can't simply wait for the olds to die and for demographics to save us.

https://thegameawards.com/awards/This is gonna be the RDR2/Fortnite show, which, great if you're a fan of those games. Bad for the rest of us, but 2018 doesn't hold a candle to 2017 anyway. Not that it really matters; the awards are a sham, the entire show is too corporate, and the announcements are usually boring.

@Ocean22 Yeah, I've only played Octopath, Celeste, FFXV (PC), and... I'm struggling to think of much else. I might get to Life is Strange 2's first episode before the year is out, but I doubt that.By April last year, we had Breath of the Wild, Persona 5, and Nier: Automata so lol.

@Ocean22 Yeah, 2017 was stacked. There was something for just about everyone. 2018? You're shit out of luck if you don't like the usual AAA tripe because just about everyone punted on this year.2019 is looking awesome though.

https://kotaku.com/sony-pulls-out-of-e3-2019-1830474052Skipping because they've pushed most things to PS5 and they don't want that announcement upstaged by everyone else at E3.Easiest dots in the world to connect.

@Ocean22 If anything, I think they're rushing it. PS4 and XB1 only really came into their own around 2015 or 16 imo, and now they're both gearing up for XB whatever/PS5.Also, another gen will send development costs skyrocketing, which is the last thing we need. The full experience is already over $60, and we're getting fucked at every opportunity because publishers don't admit this/gamers would never accept scaling back.

@Ocean22 I guess that's true. Their tech wasn't cutting edge even in 2013. It's just, this feels like the least necessary console gen of all time, and instead of making it worthwhile in the end, they're throwing in the towel and moving on.I also worry that bigger, more expensive games will lead to a crash, but I've thought that this entire gen and it somehow hasn't happened. Idk anymore. *shrug*

@Ocean22 I think you're on to something here. PS4 and XB1 are PCs with all of the drawbacks and few positives of their own.It helps that Switch has offerings you just can't get elsewhere.

@Ocean22 Yeah, I was speaking mostly of price. $3-400 for an entire console used to be the main advantage, but after shit like 599 US DOLLARS, that went out the window.Would agree on the hardware point. Hell, pack in a fun, exclusive game that takes advantage of it too. There's a reason the Wii sold so well (even if it was casual shite, in the end).

@Ocean22 I bought it at $45 for my nephew. For him, anything. My thoughts on the game are pretty much the same as yours. I wound up doing most of the bosses for the little guy, but he did a fair share of the levels on his own. I saw enough and had enough fun to run my own file in the future.

@Ocean22 Yeah, I have him playing this and Odyssey. He enjoys both, but now he seems to prefer watching me? Probably because he's growing up on YouTube and watching others play games.I'm not that interesting. I don't speedrun and I'm not a high level player lol.And yeah, playing with a friend or friends would be fun as hell. I'm too asocial for that, but if someone wanted to for whatever reason, I wouldn't say no lol.

@Technowix I personally don't need it, but I do believe many of the people here are younger than me, still growing up, and may well say things they come to regret. I don't think those things should be dug up and weaponized against a person who may well have apologized for/renounced them.Somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-5 years before posts get deleted would be fine by me.
