       @stux Just speculating, but what if they chose to heat the upstairs and not the rest of the home? That way it would be super cozy, tropical even. It's a tradeoff. In moments like this, I try to extend the most optimistic version of the story bc it ain't my business.

       @stux I definitely want to protect peoples' right to online anonymity, but lately I've also been thinking about the ways in which we do not take social media seriously. It's why most people kind of shrug when they hear a narcissistic billionaire just bought and scuppered the most important journalistic hub ever built.

       @stux It goes against one of my own self-imposed guidelines to speculate on why a megalomaniac behaves the way they do, but the drug thing makes the most sense. (I should look at primary sources. I have heard that he's an addict, but I can't even remember where I first heard it.)
