       The first meeting was great. A coordinator from United Way wanted to see how the CO2 monitor and oximeter work. (The coffeehouse didn't exceed 1,000ppm.)She's very excited about our initiative and wants me to give a presentation to the staff. I wonder if maybe UW has been waiting for a grant applicant to take action on infectious diseases. 😅 So that went really well.Then I went to my policy research meeting.

       This one is a general volunteering opportunity, so we go over anything and everything. I haven't mentioned COVID since I started, so I decided to test the waters today.On a set of records demonstrating that arson has skyrocketed in the last year, I suggested that SARS-related neurocognitive decline may be partly to blame – since the rise nearly matches the increases in transit violence.I was told that maybe lockdowns made people ragey. 😐
