In Finland the amount of brain-dead, chronically-online, SSRI-riddled refuse littering the place made me lose faith in my countrymen so badly that I subconsciously assumed people to actually be like that IRL. The real conversations are held at 11PM by a pint and a game of pool.I just use direct messaging, along with keeping tabs on local affairs via FB. Much better for mental well-being, I'd wager.
