Aaaa I wanna make a BJD character, but I have no inspiration for their designnnn...I suppose thst could be the point. BJDs are customizable in do many ways, I could change them however I want them to look with hair, eyes, colors, etc.But man, my designing motivation just doesnt exist rn!!!I blame work tbqh, I've been pulling overtime the last 3 weeks because wedding season and graduation season and my coworker decided to GO ON 3 DIFFERENT VACATIONS!!!! [Beginning of a new OC thread]My brain has decided to return to its old hyperfixation of Splatoon, so I'm doing a very soft reboot of my old fave OC! More like an AU because a lot is the same, just with some events and names changed. Milky Way is now unabashedly horny and a complete siscon, and I've just done away with their older brother and decided Star/Candy gets to take on all the stress!Maybe their older brother got killed somehow...Things to think about.

But the original story is that Star is a middle sibling with one older brother, Jupiter, and one younger brother, Nova. I kinda hate Nova, so I'm changing his name to Milky Way bc it's cute. Also combining a lot of other OC ideas into Milky Way from other OCs I've had that I also miss using.I loved Jupiter, but I want Star to suffer for my entertainment, so byeeeee lmao!But the star sibs had very neglectful, adrenaline junkie parents. Their neighbors took them in, and Jupiter got to work trying to provide for his siblings. Star refused to believe that her parents are shit people that want nothing to do with their own kids, so she goes behind everyone's backs and tries to keep a relationship with her mom. Mom mainly lovebombs her and uses Star for money or for leverage on other people. aka she tries to manipulate the rest of her family through Star and when it doesn't work, Star gets pulled further away from them

The big turning point for Star's character was when her mom called her in the middle of the night, begging for help. She asked Star to bring as much money as she could find from around the house and meet her at a Very Out Of The Way Location, and Star being fully brainwashed agreed and stole whatever money she could find and wound up at a dark pier at 2am, fist full of cash in-hand. When she sees her mom, beat to shit and crying, her mom starts yelling something about 'the kid has your money'

"Take her instead!" type shitand Star, not knowing what's happening, discovers that there's a massive brick shithouse of a man behind her and basically goes catatonic.Star comes back to her senses when she's in the back of a blacked out car, sitting beside the same man, and asks if her parents are okay. He's kind and tells her he's taking her home, and when she tries to give him the money in her hand, he tells her to keep it.

Once she gets dropped off back home, she doesn't leave her room for a week, then when she comes out she's a completely different person. Happy and peppy and can do no wrong! I think while she's gone at the pier, Star sets the house on fire. Maybe the stove got turned on while she was rooting around for savings, just freak accident stuff. Jupiter and their caretakers die in the fire, and when Star and her chaperone pull up, she's just staring at the only home she's ever known, up in smoke. Milky Way runs out crying and Star meets him in the yard, hugging and crying. This is the last family member she has, and she swears to protect him and never leave him alone again

I'm thinking the mob her parents are indebted to definitely is torturing them or harvesting their organs for profit, but he has a soft spot for kids and can't stand the idea of these two getting separated after all this.So he takes them in and sets them up in an apartment, comfy and safe, together.
