You should finish it, it's great. A lot of the early episodes don't make much sense, but things get clearer as it goes on. Might not be for everyone, but I like stuff that's initially really bizarre and then recontextualized by the conclusion. It's kind of like Ergo Proxy in that sense.

Kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place, aren't they? On one hand if they stick with the US this continues to happen, along with a lot of gay shit, but if they switch sides the economic decline is probably made worse and the gay shit would become even more subversive and possibly violent in the future. I guess in a sense they're still an occupied nation.
