@garfiald went to one when I was 10, it was about tamagotchis taking over the world. They didn't have real tamagotchis, they were light up toys from cereal boxes. Every time the tamagotchi spoke they'd flash their cereal box toys. Afterwards, we exited the theater and we had to walk past a long line of actors, one of which was in an animal suit and stuck his leg out to trip me up. Then I got on the wrong school bus. It was a weird day :P

@garfiald What was even more unforgivable was the teachers only allowed us one biscuit the entire trip, but the year above had two. The hungry betrayal was palpable :P

@garfiald I remember thinking about joining as a teen (thank fuck I didn't lmao, but I was too ill to get in anyway), I lived in an army town so old guys would walk up to you in the street and say "you look like the army type, they have a good pension you know!", and my step father would complain that he'd killed by my age and I'd done nothing yet, as if killing before the age of 20-something was a good thing o.o

@garfiald Yeaah I wasn't allowed to do school, college or do my GCSEs or anything for a few years, so I thought that was the only option open to me for a while. They make it sound so nice, like "free education! Pension! Travel the World!" the fuckers

@garfiald mines a chronically ingrown one that tells war stories about ramming nail first into any solid object it could find, he always complains its cold and turns blue on a summers day to make that point.
