@admin @snott @jeff Because good social media provides information from primary sources that is unfiltered, with immediacy. That has been the source of Twitter’s success. It works if quality content providers join (which goes beyond journalists) and a search function is there to find what’s relevant.

@shadowfacts I have been experimenting with #Tusker since yesterday. It’s really good. Better than #ivory.One question: I’m on two instances and could only add one account (@social.sciences.re).I can’t add my main account (@newsie.social). I reset my password as I thought it was the problem, but this made no difference. Isn’t Tusker compatible with all instances? Copying @jeff, as this might have happened to fellow newsies.
