@BrodieOnLinux it's still significantally better to have a randomised long string as a file that can be copy to devices you trust than 2 easily predictable words with a few symbols and numbers

@lina @volpeon the reason a lot of people stick with Discord right now, there aren't really technical, that works consistently well and can handle large groups. It's not the best, but it works.If you told someone to use IRC, then you also have to give a lot of warnings of things that work as they expect, such having to continuously connect unless using a relay to receive messages.For many people, that can be a put off if the thing they already use gets them what they want.Why do you care?

@lina @volpeon like cool their making a client. It's a hobby project and it can serve to at least ease people into irc.No need to put someone down for making something that you personally wouldn't use.

Currently working on a Eeveelution art bot "@eeveebot" similar to @volpeon's feral art bot but more specific.Hoping to avoid anything weird while creating something that pushes people to the artists that created the art and reward them if they have a fedi presence as well so that it encourages artists to come here and reduce the need for bots.

@BrodieOnLinux They seem to lack focus and seem to be overly contempt with relying on Google.Plus their dodgy political (paying abnormal amounts of money to political speakers who have no real presence or anything to do with tech) , organisations who don't really exist, C-Suite and for-profit spending makes me genuinely distrust them even if I use them out of obligation to avoid Google.
