@justhuman how do we reconcile Milley just following orders when it comes to Afghanistan withdrawal but not with respect to a strike on China. This crap always irks me because it means that our attention span is limited to a news cycle. I appreciate that you hold the right accountable to pitfalls leftist fall into routinely.

@justhuman The real drawback of trying decipher who is a white-hat mid exercise is that, if one is wrong then one ends up justifying some of the most errant nonsense in the service of a hypothesis. Not saying you're doing that. I think your analysis is extremely disciplined. I say this as someone who is not married to either alternative at the moment.

@pamby1 Milley is just an advisor when it comes to "A" but a firewall when it comes to "B." He suddenly lost the power to undermine the president when it comes to Afghanistan. @pamby1 Right. Only problem is that Milley still publicly faces that his intervention with a hypothetical Chinese strike was justified. Contrast with the withdrawal from Afghanistan where intervention would be justified if the standard from the Chinese situation were applied. Basic questions but basic questions make no sense if we are watching a soap opera. @justhuman

@pamby1 I can only answer from what I have seen with my own eyes.The CRT programs were around as hold-overs from the Obama years. The military in my limited experience is the most merit-based organization in existence. We honestly laughed at most of these trainings because we loved each other so much. The Marxists had their foot in the door with Obama and now all they have to do is turn the heat up, of which they have been successful. @justhuman

Will they be welcomed back in, given their benefits, or be properly compensated? It’s anybody’s guess really. I’m being advised privately to wait until the last possible moment. @pamby1 Not to worry. These are all questions right now. People’s lives are being destroyed even if devolution is in play. That can’t be disputed. Like you, I believe the wrongs will be made right. Doesn’t take away from the hard conversations that are being had at military dinner tables. It’s kinda hard for me to listen to people wave their hand and say if you want to make an omelet you gotta break some eggs. These are people who only think they have an idea of sacrifices we make.
