Speak directly to people who interest you! One of the great ways that Mastodon is superior to Twitter is that people don't insta-hate on Mastodon the way they do on Twitter. This will only last while a norm of people being able to approach one another survives.

@grainloomCorporate cloud providers have strong central incentives to conduct themselves in trustworthy ways which are absent in interpersonal networking.

@Eidon Do you think the longing for a time machine is ever expressed by those who wish history was truly as they claim it, and not merely accepted dishonestly as they claim it?

@Eidon Truth is really resilient to tampering. People think they win, but they never really do. Years of uncertainty follow and profound stresses across society.

@Eidon Salvinism was an interesting thing to look up. I think I see what you mean.

@grainloom “The devil ride me through it” is a funny substitute for empathetic construction of motives

@grainloom “The devil rode me through it” is an impressive substitute for empathetic construction of motivesSorry about the delete/redraft, I was fixing ride for rode in the quote (prosody) and I decided “funny” wasn’t the best way to describe the substitution. It’s been interesting seeing monotheistic manipulations reinvent themselves in recent years - I guess people always have to have their excuses.

@rice Nazis aren’t a clever protest vote. They can never be relied upon to enact conservative economics, but rather by “strength” tend to be greatly profligate. Look at what happened in Italy’s budget when a far right movement gained power.

@rice Consider also not acting like nazis are common. It’s lame to torment people by lies.
