@ninja8tyu The fluoride in water thing is still wild to me.On one hand the amount is really low compared to toothpaste and it's not like you just keep tap water in your mouth all the time so contact time with teeth is low too.On the other hand the effect of it is undeniable in areas with really bad oral hygiene.You can actually have an initial decay that doesn't break in to become a cavity and have it heal. Though usually if it turned black that will stay (the black is just color pigments that got into the defect and stay there when it heals, doesn't make the tooth any weaker though).Still, good for you. keep it at. For the rest of your life.

@RehnSturm256 @ninja8tyu Whatever freebie I got laying around. All 1450ppm flouride and avoid things that go all out on saying they're whitening (all of them will claim this but some make it their entire marketing). Usually it's nothing but some can be very abrasive. Kinda like brushing your teeth with kitchen salt and lime juice. Sure it whitens your teeth, you're grinding them down after all.

Should not cause any decay (bacteria tend to be anal about what they eat and that's normal sugar) but I don't think it would do anything for the teeth apart from replacing sugar.Hydroxyapatite I heard about but to my knowledge it has a pretty poor effect.Think of a slightly damaged tooth (as in, normal damage you get from eating) as a plank of wood with a rough surace.Flouride would be using wood glue to add a smooth layer that sticks to the wood.Hydroxyapatite would be rubbing in sawdust to make a smooth surface that will quickly fall off again.And sanding it down into a smooth surface would be mentioned lime juice+salt, do that a few times and the plank is gone.
