@chriswere Watched this on a laptop and honestly didn't notice it as being low res until you pointed it out!I guess speaking videos are just the equivalent of a webcam in a radio station, not something that people watch for the picture quality, and in many ways visuals are completely optional.

@fedinews @sean I have been hand-curating PeerTube videos for the past year, and boost a new recommended video every day.Obviously one video a day isn't comprehensive, but hopefully I'm at least giving people starting points for accounts to follow and explore.

Does anyone know people connected with Blender?Their PeerTube server's secure certificate has expired a few days ago. Need some #PeerTube advice!The really excellent PeerTube instance https://tilvids.com now has a bug that stops people on Mastodon etc being able to follow Tilvids accounts:-Existing follows work fine, but new follows turn into "Follow request sent" messages and don't go through (PT doesn't use requests).-Messaged Tilvids about this and they rebooted server, but it didn't help.-Posted on PT Github but no help so far.Any suggestions for how to fix this?Boosts appreciated!#AskFedi

The official #PeerTube search index #SepiaSearch contains some nasty videos.I don't think it's PeerTube's aim, it seems to just be a result of using blocklists rather than allowlists on their index. Blocklists place all the burden on random volunteers constantly checking for violations, whereas allowlists protect by default.Would you be interested in using an alternative PeerTube search engine that is based on an allowlist?#Fediverse
