@Sultry I’ve seen some arguing here and there but I agree we mainly keep to ourselves it appears. It’s also interesting that every community that has an equal amount of pro-Russia / pro-Ukraine people like /pol/ or KF have made their own containment threads for discussing the war. Secession, homesteading, parallel economies, political agitation, and insurgency are all options you can choose from. Some options are better than others, and some I would personally disavow, but they are there for you to learn more and explore your options. The point is to realize that voting is a scam and you are better off not participating in it.

@everyday_civilian As I said, there are many alternate forms of political activism you can choose from apart from voting and electoral politics. I can’t speak for all of them, but I have heard plenty of persuading solid arguments for and rebuttals against each. If you really care about the subject I would implore you to learn more about them and choose for yourself what you think is the best. As far as voting is concerned, many of the concerns you pointed out are simply due to the lack of manpower / resources to be effective long-term. If more people spent their political energy on these alternatives instead of voting, the solutions to these concerns would appear. If you wanted a practical reason for not voting, there’s that.Besides, not voting used to be understood as a valid form of political protest and was accepted even on the fringes of the mainstream. Of course, this was back when the only people who didn’t vote were illiterate niggers and pot-smoking hippies, and it happened to fall in line with the narrative of "unrepresentative democracy for marginalized groups". It’s only because White conservative voters are checking out of the System that the press and politicians have started to kvetch about political disenfranchisement.
