       @aral That's how they did stuff on the old site, so they're just trying to bring that same nonsense here.That said, I feel there's enough rage to go around and for us to point out every single thing that helps to slowly degrade constructive, non-fascist way of life.

       @ivory @aral @shacker @forschungstorte Yeahp. Ivory has been my Masto app since release and I alway add alt text. You just tap the photo after attaching it. Maybe they just don’t realize the workflow.

       @shacker @ivory @aral @forschungstorte it’s not after posting. It’s after attaching the image to the post, before publishing. Admittedly, took me a second to figure it out. Like… so many people complain about software when there isn’t an instruction manual. I’m guilty of it too. Just provide feedback to TapBots that it could be more obvious.

       Update: tested positive for COVID for the first time. My fault for not masking during the conference I attended this week… Wife has tested negative and I’m now isolating in my office, awaiting a video call to get a prescription for whatever they use to treat this…I’m very annoyed. And mostly at myself. The main symptoms have been a fever overnight (that broke this morning), general body aches (part of the fever), irritated sinuses, sore throat, and a persistent headache.
