Every time I turn on the TV I see another Democratic operative handwringing about how the voters just didn't understand how BEAUTIFUL and WONDERFUL the economy is. They think they got beat because of mysterious 'bad economic vibes" that people believe in mysteriously. None of these people ever met a single mom who's juggling two different parttime jobs that refuse to coordinate scheduling.Dems aren't going to get better because they'll never comprehend what they got wrong.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. People who work at Dollar General don't understand the difference between inflation and persistent high prices. "Inflation is fixed, you say? Then why am I still paying $1850 for a run-down two-bedroom in a bumfuck town nobody in another state ever heard of? Why am I paying seven bucks for a bag with five hard pears in it so my kids can have fruit?"Tell these people "we fixed inflation" and they'll damn you for being a bad liar.

@revoluciana I'm sad that everyone is missing the distinction between "at least some printers encode identifying information that will bring the cops to your doorstep" and "just about any printing method can tie you to the printed output if the printing method is found in your possession by the cops and compared to the output." The latter risk has existed since the printing press was invented and the solution is just as old: burn/destroy the type or the press after the subversive print run.

@revoluciana My own theory-crafted favorite printing device for subversives is a late-20th century IBM Wheelwriter daisywheel printer. They were sold in huge quantities, they're still fairly easy to find, buy, and repair, it's not that hard to kludge them to a modern computer, and the print wheels are common enough that you could pitch/replace one after a sensitive print job. https://www.ebay.com/itm/388144628860

@Flux There are LOTS of places, especially in the business world, where "I need an extremely low-effort way to generate a shiny thing that looks like a very plausible answer to X" is a common circumstance, and so a tool to do that is super handy. But of course most of the use cases involve bullshittery. People who care about marketing and pleasing higher management will love the tool; people who care about truth and understanding will have very little use for it, or indeed, sourest disdain.
