@stux Yes! And some of us with the choice want to “read” the video content in public spaces without locating our earbuds. Most uncaptioned video content misses me also. I love the alt text on Mastodon focusing me on the intent.

@damemagazine Recommending this article for anyone who has or might ever give or receive care - yup, that’s all of us. @futurebird This is why I am concerned when students tell me they use LLM to create study guides. The work to create the guide or table IS the studying for me. When I review the guide I recall the logic I used to make it, and THAT is the studying, not memorizing another flat pattern of words.

@futurebird No matter how it happens, my rebellious streak and privilege moves me to shop somewhere else than the ad owners, usually small businesses, even if inconvenient r a bit more expensive.
