@RadicalEdwardYou much pronounce SCUBA as scuh-ba, as the U stands for "underwater"

@RadicalEdwardBy that logic, you must pronounce SCUBA as scuh-ba, as the U stands for "underwater"

@TheGibsonOuch. Does Imitrex/sumatriptan work for you? If so, I'll share the prophylaxis I came up with that works for my own migraines

@TheGibsonUntil a spate of a bunch of them brought on by glare-inducing office lighting at a past job, mine were pretty rare as well. For me, I also found L-arginine and/or niacin can trigger them for me via blood vessel dilation effects.

@TheGibsonImitrex is pretty easy to get a prescription for and worth having on hand, as it's the only thing I've used that can stop a migraine after it starts (assuming I catch it early). Just know it works by flooding the body with serotonin to constrict the blood vessels, so it's not for everyone.

@TheGibsonI don't even have the Gen X upbringing and hold a similar position. 😆 Don't waste energy worrying about things you can't change.

@bit101That there's a post like this makes me grateful there are rare companies like Anker that make solid cables (and longer cables like 6ft or 10ft). Worth noting too that USB-A ports that aren't USB 3+ will not be able to supply enough power for most USB-C devices to charge from. Found that bit out the hard way.

@jerryIt's pandering to get people's money. Can't say I'm surprised, as the corpos do that with everything

@jerry I see your can cooler and raise the wooden tankard covered in lichtenberg figures I got this past weekend. Coincidentally, also holds 24oz.

@jerry Agreed! I've always liked the fractal patterns lightning leaves behind, so I had to get it 😁

@jerry Depends on who you end up with. My wife has a similar disinterest in the various flavors of sportsball, so it works well for us 😆

@NunyaBidnessI don't care which ideology you subscribe to, this is troubling. You might support the banning of people you don't like, but the Law of Unintended Consequences will kick in to hit you and what you value. @djsumdog

@NunyaBidnessTurns out, there's already a good example of the Law of Unintended Consequences applying to the recent PayPal policy change:https://reclaimthenet.org/paypal-terminates-account-of-hong-kong-democracy-party@djsumdog
