       @grammargirl Are we supposed to say "will have an impact on traffic"? if we want to use "impact"?In this sentence I think "impact" is better than "affect" since I think the connotation of "impact" is more negative. Surely the construction won't have a good affect on traffic. Also I think that in news items like this it is especially important to “Omit needless words.” 🙂
