@stefano hopefully they at least publish the dockerfile so you can see what they’re doing to build the docker container

@stefano For an Open source project I'd expect it to be present in the repo, and it would be somewhat concerning if it wasn't as I'd be wondering what someone was trying to hide.

Hmm It runs quite well but I don’t think I could daily drive it at this moment, esp as it looks a bit tricky to get it working with disk encryption which I’d want if I’m storing things like my SSH keys on there. Also the pain of moving everything over is something I can’t be bothered with at the moment. Also it being a Mac keyboard I’m wondering if apple-esq shortcuts out the box would make more sense (Kept hitting cmd+c instead of ctrl+c) can probably easyily change that tho.

I’m pretty sure a 7700XT should manage a bit more than a slideshow in bg3

I'm guessing it's resonably safe not to bother with a sim pin on an Esim because presumably it would be harder to extract it from a locked phone.

Upgrading the UEFI on that server might have been an expensive mistake :-/Will have to wait until someone can hard power cycle it and stuff a KVM on itIt’s either outputting video on the wrong GPU (there’s an arc a310 in it) and sitting at a prompt or it’s failed to POST.Either way it responds to power control in the IPMI but it’s stuck at post code 25 (according to post code snooping) and I get no video on remote console.

Don't think the dog has 2 braincells to rub together, gave him a biscuit and he managed to drop it and knock it under the table then was getting rather upset because he can’t get to it.

My friends dog found one of the chews that my dog hadn't finished and is happily chewing on it, My dogs rather upset about this but doesn't dare do anything about it, he's just sort of staring and whining occasionally.Still knows his place (She's his mother!)

There some small unmanaged 2.5G switches going for practically peanuts on aliexpress at the moment as part of their choice/superdeals thing…It’s very tempting to grab a couple to mess around with.

@ChrisWere Do you actually want cellular service or just to keep the number active? If it's the latter then perhaps https://www.aa.net.uk/voice-and-mobile/voip-information/I have one of my old mobile numbers there, incoming sms get turned into emails and because it hardly ever gets calls I just have it set to forward to another number and pay the few pence that ends up costing if it does receive a call. (I could set it up as a voip line but I rarely bother)

@ricci that’s likely because both OVH and Hetzner operate at the budget end of the market and are usually somewhat ok

@tomjennings @WiteWulf i find it easier to order directly from china and wait a week :-/Same stuff is on the marketplace but often cheaper.Even then I tend to be rather wary of anything mains powered. I do wonder about battery quality as well given the number of things that have a lipo in
