Apparently the developers have been very receptive to the input. I can hope they're only humoring them, but the writing's on the wall. I think NoA will point to things like weirdos thinking Shiver was going to be a tranny and say "Look, this is what Americans want! Put this on your game and it will sell like crazy!"

Metroid has always found most of its success in the west, so if they get it in their heads that Americans want Samus to be a troon, it could happen. Zelda I think is also a distinct possibility, but for more fetish reasons. Ever since OOT, Zelda has been very popular with the Japanese fujoshi and they'll throw them bits of fan service like being able to cross dress in Triforce Heroes. That said, even if they do something as fujo bait, Treehouse will rewrite it to suit their agenda.The only series that's completely safe is F-Zero, because we'll never get another one of those.

The fact that it's been 5 years since it was announced and we've seen nothing is even more worrying. Let it remain remain a trilogy and let the Dread guys take the Metroid reigns. The last game Retro made was DKC Tropical Freeze and that was nearly a decade ago.

Yes, because Final Fantasy is a struggling little franchise that needs all the help it can get. @ChristiJunior @lapin It still makes me laugh that she wasn't even a good prostitute. Most of the reviews of her services pretty much said she was mediocre and wasn't worth what she was charging. I believe she also forced her husband, who also worked for Nintendo at the time (although I think only in their cafeteria), into becoming a gay gigolo. Man that whole situation was a laugh riot. @LittleTom I remember my second grade teacher would always try and read these types of faggy socially conscious books to the class and everyone always hated them. She would get 4 pages in and kids would start groaning and asking to read Stinky Cheese Man instead. They can push this shit all they want, but at the end of the day kids will (hopefully) resent it as much as I did. @Vid_Nat Now I'm reminded of the time when Jaffe couldn't figure out one of the very first puzzles in Metroid Dread and then proceeded to have a meltdown and call Metroid a shit series because it's too hard and doesn't hold your hand and tell you exactly what you need to do. He then had a meltdown when the response was largely "Naw, you're just shit at games." It's comforting to know he continues to have terrible takes and will bravely defend the honor of the only company that will publish his games.

It was built by jews like Sandy Frank, Haim Saban, and Alfred Kahn buying up the rights to shows for pennies so they could repurpose them, or in some cases outright mutilate them, just for some easy cash. Being cheap kikes looking to make a quick buck, they mostly hired struggling non union actors (or union actors willing to slum it and use a fake name) that they could take advantage of. Then in the early 2000s, the rise of anime conventions brought about an unforeseen side effect. Turns out, a lot of anime fans (especially teenage girls) started to treat these poverty line actors like superstars because they did a half-assed job being the English voice of their favorite character. Now we have an incestous industry run by jews who know it's cheaper to buy a Japanese show with a built-in audience than make your own; and staffed by Z-tier actors (who also work as script writers) who know they can't do any better, but have massive egos because a bunch of kids (who they despise and take advantage of at every turn) treat them like rockstars. Anime may not get as overtly massacred as it did 20 years ago, but these dubbing companies still treat it as a product to be repurposed for American consumption. Only now instead of it being changed for kids, it's being changed for adults who have the mentality of a child. Even companies like Discotek that have a reputation of treating their releases with respect have been slyly altering their subtitles to remove or soften certain problematic lines; and doing new dubs for 30 year old shows just so they can give their buddies work. No one wanted a Gunbuster dub, especially one done current day. TLDR: Western releases of Anime have always been super kiked, voice actors are largely catty faggots, and it's ALWAYS morally correct to pirate Anime because Crunchyroll's not giving a cent to the Japanese.

More and more pages were excised until most books were nothing but their covers, and everyone was fine with it because "Well, I'd hate to offend anyone" and "who even reads anymore?". The government took notice that no one was bothered and seized the opportunity to just ban books outright so they can control history and the flow of information. If someone is okay with censorship to protect the delicate sensibility of some nigger, then they're okay with the government dictating what they're allowed and not allowed to know.

If the localizers couldn't be trusted to keep characters names the same (Martina was changed to Jade, Senya was changed to Serena, Kamyu was changed to Erik, Shirubia became Sylvando, Greg was changed to Hendrik etc), there's no way they're not making most of the translation up as they go along.

@SerfnUSA This shit pisses me off because not only are they forcing their views into the translation, they're doing it at the expense of making sense. Urusei Yatsura was made and takes place in the 80s. No one said "trans" in the 80s. Discotek did the same thing with the blu-ray release of the original City Hunter anime. They inserted modern faggot phrases like "LGBT" into the subtitles with no regard for the time period and how people spoke.

It had the same problem Ace Attorney has where they took something heavily Japanese, changed the names of everyone, said "okay, this takes place in America now, just don't pay attention to the fact that nothing feels American."Also fat acceptance makes my blood boil. I have a myriad of health problems as an adult as a direct result of being super fat as a child, and I don't want to see that happen to other kids.

@ChristiJunior @LittleTom I can almost guarantee the way Peach acts at the end of Odyssey was done at the request of Nintendo of America. There's a youtube channel run by Kitt and Krysta, the two people who used to run NoA's PR up until they closed their California branch. Most of their show is them giving terrible opinions on games, but every once in a while they let slip some info that paints a picture of the kind of views that are prevalent at NoA. For instance, during their review of the Mario movie they showed a lot of genuine vitriol towards the video game version of Princess Peach. Saying that the movie was the only version of the character that they've ever liked and that her counterpart from the games is a characterless blow-up doll. They gave the impression that the sentiment was shared at the office, especially when they said that they were disgusted by the wedding plot of Odyssey and hated having to promote the game with Peach in a wedding dress. So I'd bet money that they weren't alone and that Treehouse persuaded the devs to make Peach go all Ms. Independent at the end. They've also let slip that when Nintendo started putting more emphasis on worldwide simultaneous releases and working more closely with NoA, they would have the Japanese devs take workshops on including more diversity and being more mindful of what's unacceptable in America. Of course they phrased it as this wonderful thing that NoA was doing to help those backwards Japanese be more inclusive and thus sell more games in America.
