Lisa clone update - the CPU board is now fully soldered up, it just needs all ICs fitted and the ROMs burning. The IO board -although it doesn't look it- is also getting closer to completion. It does need the decoupling caps and transistors fitting though.

I'm also happy with how this custom SIL resistor network turned out. This is one of the custom parts for the Lisa that can be made out of a bunch of resistors

Although I'm not too happy with the assembly instructions for th IO board. as suggested, I ordered compatible transitors that were known to work. However, it wasn't clearly noted that the base and collector pins needed to be physically crossed 😑

No doubt about it - this is the craziest and most intensive project I've ever done. The #AppleLisaClone is about 90% complete. Only remaining tasks are to find a suitable ATX PSU, solder the ATX connector on, install a 74ls323 and the two PROMs, as well as burn and install the IO board ROM. After that I just need to make two cable harnesses - one power and one floppy, and it should be done.

I am near 100% certain this will not work the first time round. I'm not even sure I'll be able to figure the bugs out the second time around. Hell there's a good 60% chance it'll just explode in a puff of smoke

So there's major two issues - first the reason why kept hanging was because the 16mhz clock wasn't working. I still haven't figured how to get that to work - so I gave up and used a signal generator. The second issue is that there's a problem with the memory card - that's what the error it runs into is. I guess I just need to build the keyboard and floppy interface and see if she wants to boot fully
