I really don't get the stubbornness of these parties, c.f. Hillary - if the public doesn't like your politician, don't run them. I love her so much and often go and read something of hers when I feel like the whole ideology is overwhelming us. :blobaww: But, I can't help but think it must be terribly frustrating for her to clearly and articulately devastate someone's point, to have them dismiss it as "academic rhetoric" and retreat behind some brain-numbing, kind-sounding slogan. I find that a good way to shut up such comments is to say, "that's a fantastic idea! Men should do that!" or, if it's something more local, like something charitable, say "Brilliant! You should set that up!"@Starlit_Fire

Yesssss to all of this. What bugs me most about this kind of writing is that it's so... lazy. It's always 1st person and almost every sentence begins with "I". There's literally no research required, only self-indulgent waffling about whatever comes into the writer's head. As if I care. When did people stop writing features about actual subjects and start writing long boring pieces about "this thing I thought about"? :blobcatthink: @Camille

Hey guys, my Dad has cancer and so my attention is often all over the place, so I haven't been here in a while. Of course no-one "sees themselves" as transphobic or agrees with transphobia.Lots of us, however, have a bit of an issue with their definition of "transphobia" which seems to mean "questioning the right of men to do and be whatever they damn well please whenever they damn well please"@DejaVu
