@ParadeGrotesque I recently discovered the Thai ice tea at my preferred Thai place was actually some sort of godly elixir, it also compliments the spicier dishes very well.

@ParadeGrotesque newer versions of mastodon allow you to favorite hashtags (you can do it on social), does SDF plan on upgrading?

@SlipWolf were you encountering an issue where peoples requests are marked as "pending" even if they have follower approval turned off? I'm encountering that at this moment.

@SDF @SlipWolf sorry I never got the notification for this reply. If I cancel and refollow, the follow button appears and if I refresh it turns back to pending follow acceptance. This happens to profiles on other instances, and other people describe the same behavior when trying to follow me.

@ParadeGrotesque So I think if you can get your work to pay for it, it's worth it - if you choose to leave nameless megacorp, it'l look good on the resume and clear the HR department word filters. The interesting thing about CISSP is that it requires 5 years real experience to even qualify for the exam, so it's not just a paper cert like many of them. I'm very early on in my career (looking at CCNA) but I know people who do have CISSP, and it is worth it IF your nameless megacorp pays for it.

@SDF My primary hobby is that of photography, mostly #filmphotography these days, but I do dabble in digital, particular the #foveon digital cameras, which are just janky enough for me to be interested in them. With film, I shoot primarily black and white these days, since I vastly prefer its rendition. I've been trying to get the same feel of BW in digital but I haven't quite gotten there yet. Definitely am a monochrome man. I shoot all formats, 35mm medium and 4x5 large format.
