       @wikifarms @josh consider these nuts, obviously there's no unified european criminal law but there is tons of similarities between the countries because they developed based on the same principles. I don't know about every single european country but I'm willing to bet that ne bis in idem is codified in all of them

       @josh @wikifarms it's not, you cannot be charged (in at least all european countries that I'm familiar with, not sure about all) for the same issue, it's called ne bis in idem. If you break into a house and take something on tuesday the 13th you can get charged with burglary once, if they find you not guilty they can't charge you with theft the next day
