       @auntie_beans @GayDeceiver yeah, yeah… “Not All Boomers.” We know. Hippies exist, and are almost never the ones insisting on being treated as an authority while disrespecting other humans simply for being young. That’s not who gets told “OK Boomer.” It’s a phrase to shut down the “you should just” cluelessness conservative Boomers speak as if the world hasn’t changed, like work your way through college, apply for jobs in person, etc. As if everyone else is lazy.

       @GayDeceiver  To be fair, Gen X is the generation of Karens and Chads. Difference is we know it, and don’t usually try to defend them. I will never understand why the hippies defend the conservative Boomers whenever someone bitches about them. Each generation is more liberal than the last, in the US. Gen X is still conservative, esp whites, just less so than Boomers. Millennials are left of us. Gen Z is full fucking feral and I 100% support them.

       @gindi @kagan @chrismak @mekkaokereke Yes, you are wrong. Kids - and adults - form deep relationships with others online. Esp those of us who are marginalized. Social media is the only positive social a lot of folks get, and I can be there for someone on the phone as well as online as well as in person. You get out of it what you put into it, just like anything.
